Cherry Hill East 109 - Cherokee 61

Cherry Hill East cruised to a 109-61 win over eighth-seeded Cherokee. The lone bright spot for the Chiefs was a double-win by Marc Cotton, who took the 200 IM and 500 free.
The Cougars' victory was a study in balance. East took all three relays, and its five individual wins came from five different swimmers.

Cherry Hill West 115 - Washington Township 55

The Cherry Hill West High School boys' swimming team took the first step in its most important playoff run in years Tuesday.
The second seed in the South Jersey Public A bracket, the Lions began with a 115-55 thrashing of No. 7-seeded Washington Township.
West took all but two first places. The ones that got away, the 200-yard individual medley and the 500 freestyle, belonged to Washington Township sophomore Billy Cregar.
Mark Garbowski and Mark Neiman each won two individual events for the Lions. Garbowski took the 200 free and 100 free, while Neiman won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke.
The Mattingly family came up with a double-win, collectively.
Junior Matt Mattingly won the 50 free, while freshman brother Jason took the 100 breaststroke.
The Lions advanced to face Mainland in the sectional semifinal Thursday at Camden County Tech. The third-seeded Mustangs beat archrival Vineland 101-69 to advance.
Mainland won both freestyle relays and got double-wins from both Ross Thomas and Steve Scibal to beat Vineland for the second time this
Thomas won the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle, while Scibal took the 50 free and 100 butterfly.

Toms River North 100 - Shawnee 70

Toms River North advanced at the expense of fifth-seeded Shawnee, 100-70.
The Mariners won all but three events, including all three relays, though Shawnee's Max Ettore managed a double win, taking the 200 and 500 freestyles.
The Renegades' other victory was by Chase Derbin in the 50 free.
